Marvell announces first quarter financial report for fiscal year 2025: data center business revenue surges

Chip design company Marvell released its first quarter financial report for fiscal year 2025 on May 31. The report showed that the company's revenue for the quarter was US$1.16 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 12%; the net loss reached US$216 million, a year-on-year increase. Among them, the revenue of the data center business increased significantly by 87% year-on-year, while the revenue of other businesses such as enterprise networks, telecommunications infrastructure, consumer-related and automotive and industrial sectors all declined. Marvell CEO Matt Murray said that the increase in customized AI projects will help ease the pressure on traditional businesses.
