Elektrobit’s EB corbos Hypervisor successfully achieves functional safety certification, marking a major breakthrough for open source software in functional safety-critical applications

Elektrobit, a German automotive software company, recently announced that the basic components of its EB corbos Hypervisor have been independently certified by TÜV SÜD according to the safety standard ISO 26262 ASIL B. This is part of EB corbos Linux for Safety Applications, which aims to promote the development of software-defined vehicles (SDV) and functional safety-related applications. Elektrobit has provided services for more than 600 million vehicles worldwide and is driving the industry towards safer, more efficient and economical software development and maintenance solutions.
