Recently, the European Commission announced that it would provide 1.4 billion euros (about 11 billion yuan) in aid to BMW, Michelin, Airbus and other companies to implement the hydrogen energy plan. As one of the few companies that support hydrogen fuel cell technology, BMW has launched a hydrogen-powered X5 SUV pilot fleet. The funds are part of the "Important Projects of Common European Interest" and have been approved by the European Union. This move is expected to attract 3.3 billion euros in private investment to support hydrogen energy innovation research by 11 companies in seven European countries.
