Tesla CEO Musk asks Nvidia to prioritize GPU supply to his companies X and xAI

Tesla CEO Musk reportedly asked Nvidia to prioritize supplying AI processor GPUs to his company X and xAI instead of Tesla. According to an internal Nvidia memo in December 2023, Musk decided to transfer the originally planned 12,000 H100 GPUs from Tesla to X. In exchange, the 12,000 H100 GPUs originally ordered by X in January and June 2024 will be transferred to Tesla.
