Hyundai Motor to invest nearly $1 billion in Motional

South Korea's Hyundai Motor Group announced that it will invest nearly $1 billion in autonomous driving startup Motional to advance the development of autonomous driving technology. Hyundai will invest $488 million to increase Motional's capital and pay an additional $456 million to acquire Aptiv's 11% stake in Motional. After the investment is completed, Hyundai's total shareholding in Motional will reach 66.8%.
