Ideal Auto joins hands with Hunan Sanan Semiconductor to launch third-generation semiconductor R&D and production base

On August 24, Ideal Auto cooperated with Hunan Sanan Semiconductor (Scott Semiconductor) to start the construction of a third-generation semiconductor R&D and production base in Suzhou High-tech Zone, Jiangsu. The project mainly focuses on the R&D and production of third-generation semiconductor silicon carbide automotive power modules, with the goal of achieving independent design and manufacturing of automotive-specific power modules. It is expected that the base construction will be completed in 2022 and enter the equipment installation and commissioning stage. Sample trial production will begin in the first half of 2023. After the official production in 2024, the annual production capacity is expected to reach 2.4 million silicon carbide half-bridge power modules.
