Geely Commercial Vehicle's exploration in the field of intelligent driving brake-by-wire system technology

At the recent [2023 Commercial Vehicle Autonomous Driving Innovation Technology Forum], Zhang Qi, the autonomous driving technology director of Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Research Institute, shared his exploration of commercial vehicle intelligent driving brake-by-wire system technology. He elaborated on the relationship between the intelligent driving system and the braking system of commercial vehicles, introduced the requirements of the AEBS regulations for the braking system, and predicted the development trend of the braking system of commercial vehicles. Zhang Qi emphasized that with the improvement of the level of autonomous driving, the demand for the braking system is also changing, especially at the L4 level, full redundancy needs to be considered. Geely is studying a brake-by-wire system based on the EBS architecture to meet the needs of future autonomous driving.
