Cerence Helps BMW Group Improve Safety Performance of Level 3 Autonomous Driving System

Recently, Cerence announced a collaboration with the BMW Group to introduce Cerence Audio AI technology to its Level 3 Personal Pilot conditional autonomous driving system to improve safety. The technology can detect the sirens of emergency vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks and ambulances, and remind the driver to take over the vehicle when necessary. BMW's Level 3 Personal Pilot is already available to 7 Series owners in Germany, designed to reduce driving stress and achieve automatic control of vehicle speed, steering and lane changes.
