Foxconn's new energy vehicle industry layout in Henan

In 2023, Liu Yangwei, chairman of Foxconn Technology Group, visited Henan several times and expressed his vision of creating a new "Foxconn" in Henan. On January 4 this year, Henan Foxconn New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Company was established with a registered capital of 500 million yuan. On July 22, the Management Committee of Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone and Foxconn New Energy Vehicle Industry Development (Henan) Co., Ltd. signed an investment agreement for the new energy vehicle pilot production center project. Foxconn plans to focus on the layout of new energy vehicle pilot production center and solid-state battery projects in Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone.
