SERES Automotive decided to enter the field of robotics in response to the government's call for "new quality productivity". The move has been strongly supported by the Chongqing government, which has formulated a three-year plan to focus on the development of humanoid robots. SERES has become a key part of this plan with its advantages in funding, manufacturing capabilities and application scenarios. Currently, the company's subsidiary Phoenix Zhichuang is engaged in the research and development of humanoid robots with about 200 R&D personnel. If all goes well, it is expected to be mass-produced by the end of next year.
