Delphi Corporation was originally a General Motors parts subsidiary. It was spun off from General Motors in 1999 and went public in the same year. In 2017, it changed its name from Delphi Corporation to Aptiv, and spun off its traditional power business into a subsidiary of Delphi Technologies. In 2020, Delphi Technologies, which mainly engaged in traditional engine powertrain business, was sold to BorgWarner.
