NVIDIA plans to use CPO technology to break through the NVLink 72 interconnection limit

NVIDIA plans to adopt CPO technology starting with the GB300 chip released in the second half of 2025, and the subsequent Rubin architecture will also adopt this technology, aiming to break through the current limitations of NVLink 72 interconnection, improve communication quality, and alleviate signal interference and overheating problems in HPC applications.
