ByteDance increases investment in AI, expects capital expenditure to reach 160 billion yuan in 2025

According to the report, ByteDance's investment in the field of AI is increasing, with capital expenditures reaching 80 billion yuan in 2024, almost equivalent to the total of Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent (about 100 billion yuan). It is expected that in 2025, ByteDance's capital expenditures will reach 160 billion yuan, mainly used to build large-scale data center clusters. Among them, about 90 billion yuan will be used for AI computing power procurement, and 70 billion yuan will be used for IDC infrastructure and network equipment investment.
