Mercedes-Benz accelerates the construction of local R&D team in China to achieve the combination of traditional luxury and intelligence

At the 2024 Beijing International Auto Show, Cheng Li, founder of Cheyun & Electric, had an in-depth dialogue with Ou Lifu, head of R&D and procurement of Mercedes-Benz China. Since 2021, Mercedes-Benz has begun to accelerate the construction of its local R&D team in China. It now has a R&D team of 2,000 people and is taking on more and more responsibilities in the global R&D network. Mercedes-Benz is working hard to combine traditional luxury with intelligence to bring more innovative products to the Chinese market.
