Tesla Motors recently released its financial report for the third quarter of fiscal year 2024. The report shows that Tesla's total revenue in the third quarter reached US$25.182 billion, an increase of 8% compared with US$23.350 billion in the same period last year. Net profit attributable to common shareholders was US$2.167 billion, an increase of 17% from US$1.853 billion in the same period last year. Although the third-quarter revenue did not meet the expectations of Wall Street analysts, the adjusted diluted earnings per share exceeded expectations, which led to Tesla's after-hours stock price rising by more than 9%. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that his forecast for next year's car growth rate is between 20% and 30%, mainly due to the arrival of low-cost cars and autonomous driving technology. He also mentioned that Tesla is developing a taxi app, which is expected to be available to some California employees this year, and is expected to be open to the public in California and Texas next year, and plans to apply it to the robotaxi network in the future.
