SAIC Motor and Geely Holding Group issued separate statements, refuting reports that they had held separate negotiations with the European Commission. SAIC Motor stressed that they have always been the main participant in the "price undertaking plan" of the China Chamber of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and have not communicated and negotiated with the European Commission separately. Geely Holding Group also stated that they have been advancing the negotiations under the guidance of the Chamber of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and have always adhered to the principle of putting the overall situation first.
