Volkswagen Group's third-quarter financial report released, profit declines

According to the third-quarter financial report recently released by Volkswagen Group, the company delivered a total of 2.176 million new vehicles in the third quarter of this year, a year-on-year decrease of 7.1%. From January to September, a total of 6.524 million new vehicles were delivered, a year-on-year decrease of 2.8%. Sales revenue in the third quarter was 78.478 billion euros, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%; cumulative revenue from January to September was 237.279 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 0.9%. Despite a slight increase in sales revenue, due to excessive costs, profits in the third quarter were 2.855 billion euros, a year-on-year decrease of 42%; net profit in the third quarter was 1.58 billion euros, a decrease of 64%, the lowest performance of Volkswagen in the past three years.
