As an important sensor, millimeter-wave radar plays a core role in ADAS systems. It uses millimeter waves to measure the time difference of echoes to calculate distance, and has the characteristics of stable detection performance, long range, and good environmental applicability. However, millimeter-wave radar also has problems such as high cost and difficulty in identifying pedestrians. Globally, millimeter-wave radar technology is mainly monopolized by companies such as Continental, Bosch, Denso, and Autoliv. In the Chinese market, due to technological blockades and dependence on imports, autonomous control is imminent. Nevertheless, with the development of autonomous driving, the demand for millimeter-wave radar is expected to continue to grow.
