Indian software company Zoho plans to build 200mm wafer fab

Indian software company Zoho Corp. Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zoho") plans to invest in the construction of a 200mm wafer fab with a total investment of approximately US$700 million. Of this, Zoho expects to invest approximately US$200 million and seek additional US$500 million to US$600 million in funding from the state government and Indian authorities. Sridhar Vembu, co-founder and CEO of Zoho, said they have applied for a license and are currently awaiting government approval.
