As an interface for communicating with the outside world, the automotive ECU needs to have input and output means to detect and control external states. The input interface is responsible for inputting information such as the driver's operation and environmental parameters into the microcontroller, such as inputting the ON/OFF state into the microcontroller through switch operation, or inputting analog signals such as temperature and pressure into the microcontroller through sensors. The output interface is responsible for converting the calculation results of the microcontroller into actual physical actions, such as controlling the operation of the injector. The communication interface is responsible for exchanging data with other ECUs to achieve collaborative control between multiple ECUs.
