Differences in the application of on-board OBC in pure electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV)

There are some differences in the application of on-board OBC in pure electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). The OBC cost of PHEV is lower because of its lower power level and battery capacity, while the OBC cost of BEV is higher because of its higher power level and more complexity. In addition, BEV usually requires higher power level and voltage support to shorten charging time and meet higher energy requirements.
