The US government is reportedly considering further restricting China's access to advanced semiconductor technology. People familiar with the matter revealed that the Biden administration plans to restrict the use of all-gate (GAA) transistor technology, which is used to make cutting-edge chips. In addition, the government is also considering restricting the export of high-bandwidth memory (HBM), which is critical for AI accelerators.
