British company Clas-SiC considers setting up silicon carbide plant in India

British company Clas-SiC is discussing the possibility of establishing a silicon carbide wafer fab in India with several companies. The company focuses on the production of silicon carbide wafers and currently supports 150mm wafer production. They plan to work with Indian software company Zoho Corp. Pvt. to jointly submit a $700 million investment proposal to the Indian government for the production of compound semiconductors. Clas-SiC hopes to build a 200mm silicon carbide wafer fab in India through this investment.
