FlexRay, as an advanced automotive bus technology, is changing the rules of the game in the automotive industry with its high transmission rate, synchronous time base, determinism, high fault tolerance, flexibility and reliability. This technology was originally proposed by the FlexRay Alliance, which was jointly founded by BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Philips and Motorola in 2000, aiming to provide standard protocols for advanced powertrain, chassis and wire control systems worldwide. Today, with the first mass-produced car using FlexRay technology launched in the 2006 BMW X5, this technology has been widely used and recognized in the automotive industry.
