The hardware architecture of the battery management system (BMS) includes CPU, power supply and sampling IC, isolation transformer, CAN module, EEPROM and RCT, etc. Among them, the CPU is the core part. There are two topological structures of BMS hardware structure: centralized and distributed. The centralized topology classifies the electronic components into plates, and the sampling chip communicates with the main chip by daisy chain. The link is simple and the cost is low, but the stability is insufficient. The distributed topology consists of a main board and a slave board. The system configuration is flexible and the channel utilization rate is high. It is suitable for various battery packs, but it causes channel waste when the number of battery modules is insufficient.
