BYD sets up large production base in Bahia, Brazil

Recently, BYD started construction of a large-scale production base complex in Camacari, Bahia, Brazil, including electric bus and truck chassis production plants, new energy passenger vehicle production plants, and lithium iron phosphate battery material processing plants. It is expected that after it goes into production in 2025, the annual production capacity of new energy passenger vehicles of the project will reach 150,000 units. Bahia Governor Rodriguez said that this project will promote local development, improve productivity, increase employment opportunities, and achieve the coordinated advancement of economic development and environmental protection.
