Megvii Technology joins hands with Geely Auto and Lotus to develop advanced intelligent driving solutions

It is reported that Megvii Technology's Mai Chi Zhixing will launch new cooperation with Geely Auto and Lotus in the field of intelligent driving, focusing on the research and development and sales of high-level intelligent driving solutions. This cooperation not only serves Geely's brands, but also plans to seek development opportunities externally, which may be carried out in the form of a joint venture. Megvii established an intelligent driving team in 2021, dedicated to the research and development of L2+ high-level intelligent driving solutions. The team became independent as Mai Chi Zhixing in 2022, and released the L2+ intelligent driving mass production plan two years later. At present, the plan has achieved mass production cooperation with many models under Geely. Megvii is also developing an end-to-end intelligent driving system that integrates perception, decision-making, planning and control. To support this new cooperation project, Geely will draw manpower and resources from the intelligent driving team of its research institute and sub-brand Lotus.
