The European Commission announced that if a solution cannot be reached with China, it will impose temporary anti-subsidy duties on electric vehicles imported from China from July 4. The three affected Chinese companies, BYD, Geely Auto and SAIC, will face anti-subsidy duties of 17.4%, 20% and 38.1% respectively. Other companies that participated in the investigation but were not sampled will have to pay an anti-subsidy duty of 21%, while companies that do not cooperate with the investigation will be subject to an anti-subsidy duty of 38.1%.
