China's Ministry of Commerce imposes export controls on 28 U.S. entities

On January 2, 2025, the Ministry of Commerce of China issued an announcement, in accordance with the Export Control Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Export Control of Dual-Use Items and other relevant laws and regulations, it decided to impose export controls on 28 US entities including General Dynamics, L3 Harris, and Interleave. This move is aimed at safeguarding national security and interests and fulfilling international obligations such as non-proliferation. The affected entities will be prohibited from receiving dual-use exports from China, and ongoing related export activities should be stopped immediately. In special circumstances, if export is indeed necessary, the export operator must apply to the Ministry of Commerce. This announcement takes effect immediately from the date of publication.
