Tesla buys land in Nuevo León, Mexico, to build a Gigafactory

At the beginning of the new year, Tesla purchased four plots of land with a total area of ​​1,194 hectares in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico, at a cost of approximately $100 million. The four plots of land are located in Rancho El Carvajal and were purchased from the grandchildren of former governor Lázaro Garza González. Tesla plans to build a super factory here to further expand its global production capacity to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles.
