Ford recalls nearly 20,000 vehicles in the U.S. over battery issues

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) disclosed on December 31 that due to a manufacturing defect in the high-voltage battery unit, which may cause internal short circuit and battery failure, Ford Motor Company decided to recall some 2020-2024 Ford Escape and 2021-2024 Lincoln Corsair, totaling 20,484 vehicles.
