Voyant Photonics Launches New FMCW LiDAR

Voyant Photonics, a startup in downtown New York, USA, announced that it will launch its new chip-level FMCW sensor, named "Carbon". This silicon photonics-based FMCW lidar, which operates at a wavelength of 1550 nm, is expected to be priced below $1500, specifically $1490. The "Carbon" FMCW lidar is targeted at robotic applications and has high resolution, millimeter-level accuracy and a range of up to 200 meters.
