Highpower Technology and European partners collaborate to develop next generation high energy density batteries

Highpower Technology recently announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with a European partner to jointly develop the next generation of high energy density battery technology. Their goal is to develop a lithium-ion battery product with 100% silicon anode to meet market demand. The theoretical specific capacity of this battery can reach 4200mAh/g, which is about 10 times that of lithium-ion batteries using graphite anodes.
