Sun Moon Semiconductor invests in high-end packaging and testing plant project in Guangzhou

On December 29, 2024, Sun Moon Semiconductor announced the construction of a high-end packaging and testing plant project in the Bay Area Semiconductor Industrial Park of Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. The total investment of the project reached 1.5 billion yuan, and the designed annual production capacity includes 10.16 billion IC products, 330 million semiconductor biphase transistors, 130 million SMT products, 4.09 billion discrete devices and 8.391 million SIPs (new electronic components). It is expected that after the project reaches full production, the annual output value can reach 540 million US dollars, which will strongly promote the development of Guangzhou's semiconductor industry.
