Chrysler recalls certain imported Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with 3.0-liter diesel engines

Chrysler (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will recall 1,589 3.0TD Comfort Navigation Edition Grand Cherokee vehicles produced between November 19, 2013 and June 2, 2016, and 451 3.0TD 75th Anniversary Tribute Edition Grand Cherokee vehicles produced between March 3 and July 15, 2016. The reason is that the magnetic signal material of these vehicles may be separated from the main body of the engine crankshaft pulse wheel, causing the engine to shut down and unable to restart, posing a safety risk. Chrysler will update the powertrain module software for these vehicles free of charge.
