Volkswagen Kassel die casting plant successfully casts rear underbody

Volkswagen's Kassel die casting plant has successfully cast a rear underbody panel on a 4,400-ton die casting machine, laying the foundation for a highly innovative platform component for the future SSP (Scalable Systems Platform) electric drive platform. The technology is currently being tested for the Volkswagen Trinity model.
