Rapidus and Tenstorrent collaborate on low-power AI chips

Japanese chipmaker Rapidus has formed a partnership with startup Tenstorrent to jointly develop specialized AI chips that consume less power than graphics processing units produced by U.S. company Nvidia. It will also send 200 engineers to Tenstorrent, an artificial intelligence chip startup in the U.S., for training.
