TSMC's Kumamoto plant in Japan officially starts mass production

TSMC's plant in Kumamoto, Japan, will officially start mass production in December 2024. The plant mainly produces 22/28nm and 12/16nm products, with a monthly production capacity of about 50,000 pieces. Its main customers are SONY and DENSO, for which it provides sensors and automotive chips respectively.
