Chery to produce electric cars in Barcelona by year end

Chery Automobile plans to start producing electric vehicles at its Barcelona plant in Spain by the end of the year, its first production base in Europe. Chery said that although the European Union has imposed tariffs on imported electric vehicles from China, local production in Europe will help mitigate some of the impact.
