China has 44 operational wafer fabs and 22 under construction

According to data, China currently has 44 operational wafer fabs, including 25 12-inch, 4 6-inch and 15 8-inch production lines. In addition, there are 22 wafer fabs under construction, of which 15 are 12-inch facilities and 8 are 8-inch wafer fabs. The construction of these factories will further enhance China's chip manufacturing capabilities and help reduce its dependence on imported chips.
