Fuji Electric starts mass production of 6-inch silicon carbide power semiconductors in Aomori Prefecture

Fuji Electric's original plan to mass-produce 6-inch silicon carbide power semiconductors in the summer of 2024 was postponed due to reduced demand caused by the decline in global electric vehicle (EV) sales. However, the company officially started mass production of the product at its semiconductor manufacturing base in Aomori Prefecture in December 2024.
