u-blox and ORBCOMM team up to create a fusion of terrestrial and satellite IoT communications solutions

u-blox and ORBCOMM are collaborating to develop a terrestrial and satellite IoT communication convergence solution. This collaboration aims to provide IoT deployers with a wider range of seamless global connections, including previously unreached areas. The two parties will integrate the ORBCOMM satellite communication protocol based on u-blox's UBX-R52/S52 LPWA chipset to achieve two-way communication.
