Aptiv recently announced the development of the industry's first vehicle central computing platform (CVC), which was first put into use in the Chinese market. The platform integrates ADAS, body functions, gateways and VCU functions, becoming the core system of the next-generation smart car architecture. With the increase in automotive functions, traditional electronic/electrical architecture has become a development bottleneck. The SVA™ concept launched by Aptiv simplifies the vehicle architecture and provides a foundation for software-defined cars. CVC is the core of SVA™, responsible for handling communications with hundreds of components in the car and abstracting functions into software services. CVC has been applied in China to help the development of software-defined cars.
