Aptiv Completes Acquisition of Wind River, Provider of Intelligent Edge Software Solutions

On January 11, 2022, Aptiv announced the acquisition of Wind River from TPG Capital for $4.3 billion in cash, aiming to strengthen its position in the software field in multiple industries. Wind River is a global leader in intelligent edge software, and its software has been used on more than 2 billion edge devices of more than 1,700 customers worldwide. This acquisition will enable Aptiv to take full advantage of the huge software-defined solution opportunities in the mobile travel industry and expand its business into multiple high-value industries.
