Due to sluggish market demand, Renesas Electronics' factory utilization rate has dropped from about 40% in July-September to around 30% in the October-December quarter. As a result, the company has had to adjust its production plans, including postponing the mass production of power semiconductors for automobiles and industrial equipment at a new plant in Yamanashi Prefecture, central Japan, which was originally scheduled for early 2025.
