Asahi Kasei subsidiary Crystal IS successfully manufactures 4-inch aluminum nitride single crystal substrates

On June 12, 2024, Asahi Kasei announced that its subsidiary Crystal IS in New York, USA, has successfully manufactured a 4-inch (100 mm diameter) aluminum nitride (AlN) single crystal substrate with a usable area of ​​more than 99%, which is now in use. The company plans to provide this sample substrate to semiconductor device manufacturers in Japan and overseas from the second half of 2024.
