SiCSem Private Limited (SiCSem) in Chennai, India, plans to build a silicon carbide (SiC) manufacturing, assembly, testing and packaging (ATMP) plant in Odisha. On June 15, SiCSem signed an agreement with the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IIT-BBS) on compound semiconductor research. The first project aims to achieve localized production of 6-inch and 8-inch SiC crystals, with an estimated investment of 450 million rupees.
