NVIDIA plans to include BBU (battery backup unit) as standard in the new server GB3800. BBU has the advantages of fast response, small size and flexible layout, and can effectively connect the transition stage between supercapacitor startup and diesel generator power supply. In the high-voltage DC power distribution system, high-rate BBU can show higher power conversion efficiency, which helps to optimize the operating cost structure of the data center.
