Magna Delivers World's First Reconfigurable Seating System to Chinese Automaker

Magna recently announced that they have provided an innovative seating system to the world's first Chinese automaker, which is Magna's first reconfigurable seat order worldwide. This seating system features fully rotatable front seats and a flexible layout with long slides, designed to expand the cabin space. Magna's goal is to adapt cars to people's needs, rather than people adapting to cars. The front and rear seats and center console of this seating system can be rotated 270° through a combination of electric long slides. In addition, the seat is equipped with an integrated seat belt and a magnetic ecological interface that can be connected to a variety of devices. Magna's Chinese seat engineering team works with customers to explore the future travel ecology and carry out localized upgrades for the Chinese market. This seating system is expected to be mass-produced in the Chinese market in the fourth quarter of 2024.
