BYD establishes second vehicle production base in Europe

As early as 2016, BYD announced the construction of a bus factory in Komárom, a northern Hungarian city. The factory was officially completed and put into production in 2017. In October last year, BYD officially entered the Hungarian passenger car market, which will become the first passenger car production base built by a Chinese automaker in Europe. BYD ATTO3 (Yuan PLUS), Dolphin and Seal three pure electric models debuted in Hungary, which helped to avoid the risk of anti-subsidy investigations and high import taxes.
